The Language Lexicon is a project aiming to provide clear, brief, and helpful definitions of a number of key terms in use in cognitive science discussions of the topic of language. Our hope is that it will prove useful to scholars, scientists, and students from a number of diverse disciplines. The project, launched in the summer of 1997 with the assistance of a PEER grant from the University of Houston, now includes a basic lexicon of over 70 key terms as well as a "focus page" by Professor James Garson on basic concepts in the theory of grammar. More terms and more focus pages are currently under development. For more information, contact Professor Anne Jaap Jacobson; e-mail AJJacobson@UH.edu. Last updated August 31, 1997. |
